Katayoon Salehi

My name is Katayoon Salehi, but they usually call me Kat, just out of convenience. I have studied English language since I was three years old and I love to write from time to time. I have a BA in English literature and I graduated 5th in my class from University of Tehran. I enjoy communicating with foreigners and learning about new cultures and free style writing. Currently, I’m studying an MA in American Studies and I work as a content producer specialist in Iran Travelers Services. My job is to create the most useful and effective content for our website, so you can easily navigate our services. I am also an interpreter and translator, and I make communication easier for our guests. I’m fluent in English, and have elementary knowledge of Arabic and Spanish. Outside of work, I spend my free time reading Russian and Italian novels and I do kickboxing every weekend.

8 Reasons Why You Should Visit Iran At Least Once in Your Lifetime

Iran has made a comeback on the travel scene in recent years, being listed as one of the hot spot destinations, and certainly with good reason. And although it may not rank as high with some travelers as it does with others, here’s our case for visiting Iran at least once in your lifetime.

What to Wear

The dress code in Iran is more relaxed that what you may imagine, but there are a few rules on how you would better choose your clothes when travelling there. On religious principles it's mandatory for women and men to cover their body more than usual dress codes of western countries. However, for tourists and foreigners the rules are not strictly observed and in the worst case scenario you might get a kind comment about your “Hijab”
